Upon initial entry into the teachingcommunity, individuals are placed on the lowest rung on the teachers' pay scale. Since the teachers' pay scale is an exhaustive method of measurement, a precious few may reach the top of the scale. As one is able to advance the payscale, opportunities present themselves in the form of school leadership roles as well as transitions to governing bodies at local, regional or national levels. Some scales also dictate salary ranges based on location. Once the individual receives the green light to practice as a full fledged teacher, he or she progresses to the standard teachers' pay scale.
Primary teachers are teachers who teach the primary levels, which include preschool, kindergarten, and elementary.
The job responsibilities of primary teachers differ depending on the particular level a primary teacher is teaching. Teaching young students can be quite challenging than teaching older ones. The primary teacher's main job is to plan and develop lessons, and make it understandable depending on the level that he or she is teaching. The primary teacher should also do more than just teach or discuss. Primary teachers face the extra challenge to be able to make good use of the opportunity to send the children off with a good start. The responsibility of primary teachers reaches far and wide primarily because they handle all the subject areas. A primary teacher should have enough knowledge about the major subjects to be able to teach the basics. Although primary teacher jobs can be challenging, it is a good career choice. Primary teachers have access to a lot of opportunities for career advancement. A primary teacher job is a good way to jumpstart a teaching career. There are part-time or temporary posts, as well as full-time posts.
Teachers in Arizona Schools are Paid Less
Teachers in Arizona schools are compensated based on their level of education, qualifications and teaching experience. But is that truly fair pay? The comparatively low pay scales for teachers in Arizona schools are leading to a serious under valuation of teachers, the backbone of any education system. Highly qualified professional men and women who wish to pursue the noble profession of teaching are turned off by the devaluation of teachers that is the norm in Arizona schools. The devaluation of teachers thus hurts the students the most.
Most Arizona schools also make changing districts tough for teachers by placing experienced teachers at a lower rung of the salary scale than they were in their previous school. This doesn't allow Arizona schools to offer big money to qualified teachers. It's an arrangement that hurts the teachers, the boards and ultimately the students themselves.
